Zeal Smoothie

My best friend, Alex, sells Zeal for Life. She sent me a sample to try. The main reason was to see if it would help my migraines. Today's smoothie was made to use the Zeal to help with the sinus infection that I have. I also wanted a smoothie since I haven't had one in awhile.

This tastes wonderful. I'll let you know on Mind Over Migraines whether it helps or not.

Strawberry + Peach Smoothie

My Magic Bullet broke in the middle of this, so I had to dig out my mother-in-law's old blender to finish it.

Strawberry + Peach Smoothie

Ingredients
  • 1 & ¼ cup Almond milk
  • ½ cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen peaches

Directions

Add all of the ingredients to the blender and blend well. Enjoy!

It was still a little more solid than I wanted, so I might up the milk to 1 & ½ cups.

Pineapple + Banana + Cashew Butter Smoothie

This was a variation of a Martha Stewart smoothie recipe that I found here.

Pineapple + Banana + Cashew Butter Smoothie

Ingredients
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup diced pineapple*
  • ½ cup cashew butter
  • ½ cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tbs honey
*I used 1 8oz can of diced pineapple and drained the juice.

Directions

Cut up bananas. Add all of the ingredients to the blender and blend well. Enjoy!

The original recipe called for ½ cup of ice, but since I haven't perfected the art of crushing the ice, I omitted it. The smoothie came out really thick, so I might have to find something to thin it out, just a bit.  Maybe I'll leave the pineapple juice in.
